As ubiquitous as menopause is, many women are hesitant to admit they experience symptoms of dryness, itching, or incontinence while undergoing their body’s changes. To combat these unwanted effects, we offer MosaLisa. This is a minimally invasive procedure designed to reverse vaginal atrophy and laxity. Over time, this encourages naturally increased blood flow and lubrication to help improve the natural function of the vagina. Learn more about this breakthrough procedure here or to schedule a consultation.
When it comes to something as serious as breast cancer, preventative care and early detection are everything. If you believe that breast cancer is something that may run in your family, we offer breast cancer gene testing. These tests check your DNA for a BRCA1 or BCRA2 gene mutation. Women who inherit this gene have a higher risk of developing breast cancer by age 80, with increases to 72% and 69%, respectively. Testing is only suggested for women who fit certain specifications. Read more to understand if you or your loved one would be a good candidate for gene testing.
Regular well-woman check ups are great times to discuss contraceptive counselling, family planning, and HPV vaccination options. Dr. Epstein is a firm believer in preventative medicine. During a pap smear, our doctor will check the health of your reproductive system as well as for any signs of abnormalities. During contraceptive counseling, Dr. Epstein can help you find what contraceptive is best suited to your needs and lifestyle, whether that be oral pills, an IUD, or implants.
